Participation in our evening classes provides far more than the opportunity to learn new skills but also numerous benefits to our mental health and wellbeing. Evening classes are known to lower stress levels, improve confidence, increase social integration, contribute to personal growth and lifelong learning to name just a few advantages.
This course is suitable for learners with basic existing skills within photography, who would like to further explore the creative potential of the cameras and understand various methods, processes and techniques within photography.
This course will include more in-depth activities and techniques to further enhance the skills of learners. This is a great follow-up course for those who may have attended the Photography Part 1/Beginners course, or those with some experience with photography.
The course content will be based on the following activities:
Whilst the majority of the sessions will run as practical tasks, you will also understand the theory and gain feedback by the tutor and with group critiques. The practical tasks will allow learners to explore the creative potential of their cameras, investigate unconventional techniques and learn how to use Manual mode effectively.
You are asked to bring a digital SLR camera and a pencil/pen and paper. Our tutors have both training and experience in the photography industry bringing a wealth of varied experience to the class.
Our recreational courses are for those aged 19 (as at 31st August of the academic year) and over.
Suitable for learners who have attended a beginners/Part 1 photography course or are confident using their SLR camera.
