Delivered outside of standard working hours, it's the ideal opportunity to refresh your skills around your existing work commitments without taking time out of your day.

You'll learn how to clean and organise data, apply consistent formatting, and use Excel's powerful analysis tools to turn information into meaningful insights. Through hands-on activities, you'll build confidence using formulas and functions, Text to Columns, PivotTables and charts to improve productivity and streamline everyday tasks.

The workshop also explores Excel's What-If Analysis tools, including Goal Seek, Data Tables and Scenario Manager, enabling you to model different scenarios, test outcomes and support more informed decision-making.

Whether you're looking to develop your skills for your current role, prepare for new responsibilities or simply become more confident using Excel, this workshop is a great way to invest in your professional development and refresh your skills. It is suitable for anyone with a good understanding of Excel formulas and functions, or those who have previously completed our Excel – Basics, Manipulating Data or Functions & Formulae workshops.


  • This course is designed for adults aged 19 and over (as of 31 August in the academic year you are applying for) who are looking to develop their Excel skills, refresh their existing knowledge or enhance their professional development.

    This workshop is suitable for those who already have a good understanding of functions and formulas, or who have previously completed our Excel – Basics, Manipulating Data or Excel – Functions & Formulae workshops.

    In some circumstances, you may be eligible to access this course free of charge.
