If you are 16 to 18 years old, literate in your first language and English is your second language, then our full-time ESOL course could be for you. Students have the opportunity to take reading, writing and speaking and listening exams at the end of the year.
It is also possible to take GCSE or Functional Skills maths exams. This course is for students who are permanent residents in the UK and need to improve their level of English to help them progress on to full-time further education courses or into work.

Many former students have described this course as an excellent springboard onto a wide range of FE and employment options.
No formal qualifications are required, however applicants will be assessed in relation to their ability to understand and follow instructions to ensure they are able to attend the course.
If the applicant has ESOL or maths certificates, they should be brought to the interview.
Initial assessments will be completed during the interview stage to assess the applicant's level of English and Maths and establish if the course would be appropriate.

ESOL classes help many students to improve their English in order to communicate better in a range of situations.
If you are 16-18 years old and English is your second language, then our full-time course could be right for you. Students will have the opportunity to develop the language needed for everyday life and work in the UK. You will improve your reading, writing, speaking and listening alongside other student-centred lessons, such as projects and student development.
Students may take exams at different stages throughout the year. It is also possible to take GCSE or Functional Skills maths. This course will help you progress on to full-time further education courses or into work. Regular tutorials with the course leader will help you plan your next steps.
