Iress: Finalist for ‘Employer of the Year' in the GloucestershireLive Apprenticeship Awards 2020

Iress is a global technology company providing software to the financial services industry. The software solutions developed by Iress are used by more than 9,000 businesses and 500,000 users globally. Iress is a finalist for ‘Employer of the Year’ in the 2020 GloucestershireLive Virtual Apprenticeship awards, highlighting their dedication and commitment to apprenticeships.

“Apprenticeship opportunities at Iress always attract a high number of quality applicants due to their great reputation locally. Iress really look after their staff and believe in supporting apprentices from the very start. We are delighted that they have been recognised for their support of apprenticeships as a finalist in the GloucestershireLive Apprenticeship Awards for ‘Employer of the Year’ 2020.

"We have been working with Iress for the past two years and have recruited 12 Software and IT apprentices for them. We have successfully recruited incredibly talented Software Technician apprentices through our own advertising and selection process at the Gloucestershire College Business Hub. Working together with Iress to promote the vacancies, we are able to attract fantastic quality candidates looking for apprenticeship opportunities in IT and Software.

"Our apprentices who started last year are performing at a very high level and going on to achieve incredible things at Iress. The feedback from our software trainers and assessors at Gloucestershire College is that the apprentices at Iress show ‘exceptional talent’ which is brilliant to hear. It shows how talented the young people in Gloucestershire are. The technical talent we have here is outstanding.

"As a College, we love working with Iress. They are very specific with their requirements for apprentices and have a very in-depth selection process involving assessment days, which the GC Business Hub team support.

"We wish Iress the best of luck for the awards next week and we look forward to celebrating at the virtual awards with you!” - Sophie Burch, Business Consultant for Employer Training & Apprenticeships.
