Gloucestershire College is delighted to be once again recognised by the GloucestershireLive Apprenticeship Awards for its vital contribution to upskilling the workforce of tomorrow.

GC has been a driving force behind apprenticeships and employee development in Gloucestershire for over a decade and has been working closely with the business community to identify and promptly respond to any crucial skill gaps in the marketplace.

“It is such an honour to once again be shortlisted as a finalist”, says Julie Tegg, Director of Employer Training.

“This recognition from the panel of expert judges is testament to the outstanding quality of GC’s apprenticeship programmes and our strong commitment to our learners and the business community. We are very passionate about delivering the best possible training we can and are always looking for opportunities to foster potential and connect the best and the brightest talent with relevant employers.

“We are proud  to partner with a wide range of companies who have all chosen the apprenticeship route to back local talent,  achieve the best outcomes for their business and in the long run, energise the local economy. We are and will continue to promote the benefits of apprenticeships in order to bring on board more companies from in-demand yet under skilled industries like IT/Cyber Security, Engineering, Construction and Digital.  And it goes without saying, how immensely proud we are of our apprentices who have achieved amazing results year on year.”

This year, the following GC students have been shortlisted as finalists in the following categories:

Outstanding Apprentice of the Year (Public Services)

Georgia Ryland, Brockworth Parish Council

Outstanding Apprentice of the Year (Health, Wellbeing, Care & Education)

Rhiannon Howells, Longlevens Infant School

Outstanding Apprentice of the Year (Business, Administrative & Financial Services)

Elle Yemm, Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS FoundationTrust

The winners of GloucestershireLive Apprenticeship Awards 2021 will be announced on October 13, 2021.
