If you prefer hands-on learning, an apprenticeship is a great way to gain a nationally recognised qualification while getting on-the-job training and earning money. Becoming an apprentice is a step towards building a real career in an industry you are passionate about.

Our award-winning programmes range from Level 2 to degree, making them a great alternative to university and full-time study. Many of our apprenticeships can start at any time throughout the year, not just in September.

I think it’s so important that we get more females in construction. After finishing school, I didn’t think it was an option for a girl to do a trade, as A Levels and universities are traditionally pushed as a better route. I hope that maybe one girl will see this and realise that she can start a career in trade too with an apprenticeship. And then she will inspire another girl, and the domino effect will finally get more women in construction.

One of the best things was the emotional intelligence bit on the course so I really enjoyed that and I've been doing bits and pieces out of the course throughout my career but doing it in step-by-step stages and methodically was new learning for me. It was no trouble doing this apprenticeship, obviously, you've got to put the work in and a bit of time but you can carry on working as well which is really good and fits into your lifestyle
