It is with deep regret and sadness that we are writing to inform you that the tragic reports of a stabbing and death of a young person in Gloucester.

It is with deep regret and sadness we are writing to inform you the tragic reports of a stabbing and death of a young person in Gloucester in recent days, was a Gloucestershire College Student.

It has been confirmed that Ramarni Crosby (16) was the victim of a serious knife crime. Ramarni has been studying L1 Electrical in Gloucester this year and said to be a charismatic young man who is popular among staff and his peers.

We understand that this may be an extremely difficult time for some of you, particularly those who know Ramarni or the learners and colleagues that are most likely to be impacted by this news.

Over the coming weeks we will continue to work closely with the Police, Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Partnership and the agencies who work with young people to support in any way that we can and to act for change around knife crime in Gloucestershire.

The police have made us aware that videos and images from the incident have been circulating social media. Clearly these will be distressing, must not be viewed, or shared further. We urge you to report these to the police immediately if you come across them.
